Economic Development
As a small business owner and educator, we must do more to support entrepreneurs and our small businesses because they are the backbone of our economy and employ nearly half of all Floridians. We must invest more in early childhood and pre-k education and encourage a stronger emphasis in our public schools on STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, the arts and math). We need a strong, robust infrastructure in order to ensure our economy keeps moving.
Additional Key Issues:
- Job training for youth
- State funded and supported Internships & apprenticeships
- Digital literacy and workforce skills development
- Building, expanding and empowering small business owner infrastructure, sustainability and scalability
- Minority, veteran and women owned business support and growth
- Small business incentives and economic relief where available
